Streamside Erosion Mitigation Project, Pepper Pike, Ohio

The C.W. Courtney Company was contacted by a private property owner who was experiencing significant erosion along a large water course located at the bottom of the steep slope behind his home. We developed, in conjunction with our geotechnical and environmental permitting consultants, a plan for repair of the hillside erosion that was threatening our client’s home along with channel relocation and armoring to minimize potential for future erosion related problems. The potential for failure of the hillside, with negative impacts on the existing home, was dramatically reduced and the eroded hillside transformed into a functional multiple tiered area.
